Child support can be a complicated issue for many people, which is why Maryland residents will be interested in a recent story from Arizona. Four men from Arizona City and Eloy were recently arrested with outstanding child support warrants. The round-up for the warrants was conducted by the Pinal County Sheriff's Department with the cooperation of the Pinal County Superior Court.
All the men were arrested for child support warrants with one of the men also cited for failure to pay a fine. Command staff officers and special unit personnel were used by the Sheriff's Office to eliminate potential overtime costs during the roundup. There is a plan by law enforcement to have a second round of arrests in the coming weeks.
The difficult and complex issues of child support affect many people around the nation. Along with proper legal representation, parents can work together to sort out the complexities of a divorce. Knowing your rights as a parent and the current support laws for your state may help in coming to an agreement that is best for both the separated parties and their children.
Child support can be a very emotionally-charged issue for both parties. However, attempting to work together or bringing in professionals who are well versed in the law may be able to help those who are currently struggling to pay child support. Sometimes a modification in the support order can be accomplished if parents are unable to meet their financial obligations. Several resources and options exist for those who are experiencing these types of problems.
